Can I place bets with a credit card?

In April 2024, the Ministry of Finance published Normative Ordinance SPA/MF No. 615, clarifying the guidelines for financial transactions between bookmakers and their customers.
As indicated in the document, only payments by electronic transfers will be permitted, including deposits, withdrawals and payment of prizes.
The regulation exclusively authorizes bets made via PIX, TED, debit or prepaid card, in addition to internal transfers on the betting house servers.
Can I place bets with a credit card?
According to the federal government, it will no longer be possible to bet with a credit card. Bettors will have to use PIX, transfer, debit or prepaid card.
Don’t worry: the process may take some time until it is actually implemented by all bookmakers. However, we recommend that if you bet with a credit card, you organize yourself to make the changes to your wallet.
